Where your photo covers the banner
LinkedIn places your profile photo over the bottom-left corner of your banner. On desktop the circle covers roughly the left quarter of the banner's width and hangs below it. On a phone the banner is smaller, so the photo takes up a bigger share, close to a third of the width.
Put text, logos and anything else you want read on the right side of the banner. Keep your face centered in your photo with some room around it, because the circle cuts off the corners of the square you upload. The sizes in this preview are close approximations, and LinkedIn does adjust its layout from time to time.
